Life during lockdown for The Property Presenters
2020 had started really positively for those of us working in the property industry. The Property Presenters had been busy with new and ongoing projects, and we had some exciting work in the pipeline.
Then March, and everything which came with it, hit us all and the world went on pause. It’s fair to say that we, like many others, experienced the whole range of emotions whilst trying to absorb the news every day and adjust to a very sudden change of pace.
We and our families are fortunate to have stayed healthy, and we also wanted to stay busy, although we were not able to meet each other, our clients or our suppliers. Many meetings and events were cancelled, and suddenly Zoom became our lifeline. Did anyone Zoom before this? We didn’t, but what a great tool it’s turned out to be, and we’ll certainly continue to use it beyond the Covid-19 crisis.
It was time for some admin, housekeeping, and ticking off some of the jobs on our To Do list. The decision was made that we would work every day, Monday to Friday, as normal and to get everything ready for after lockdown.
We’ve produced some new brochures, which we’re really happy with, and are now ready to send to potential new clients and contacts.
We have both taught ourselves new skills to enhance our business and services, and we’ve made a great start on cataloguing our inventory. More work than ever before has been done on our social media, but there’s still room for improvement on that front, so that particular job will be staying on the To Do list for the time being!
This new website has also been one of our lockdown projects, and a task which was long overdue. Our old site didn’t reflect what our business had become and looked wrong for our brand. Launching the new site is a very exciting step for us, and we can finally point people to our site and feel proud of it.
At the time of writing this post, the restrictions on the property industry have been lifted for a few days. One of our most important lockdown jobs has been to develop a safe working policy to allow us to move forward in the next phase, and with this now in place, we are fully ready to return to 100% capacity again.
We hugely appreciate the help and support and camaraderie we’ve experienced on a personal and professional level in the past two months from so many different places, and continue to send our very best wishes to all our clients, suppliers and friends.
