Show home design - Hertfordshire luxury family home

Our client, an independent developer, built two luxury new homes in Chorleywood, and commissioned The Property Presenters to design and install a show home in one plot.  The detached properties had been finished to a very high specification, and the staging needed reflect the premium fixtures and fittings.

Chorleywood is highly rated as one of Britain’s most desirable, safe and affluent commuter villages, frequently ranked amongst the best places to live in the UK.  Large homes in the area attract prosperous families and commuters.

The show home was designed to be both luxurious and appeal to both families and wealthy down-sizers and was installed fully from our rental inventory. 

Our approach to designing this show home

• In keeping with the fixtures and fittings installed by the developer, the show home design was based on a timeless modern style using neutral colours, natural materials and created a coherent flow within the house.

• We wanted potential buyers to appreciate the natural light and spacious proportions of the property and therefore focused on quality over quantity in all the rooms.

• The developer had chosen oak parquet flooring, black internal doors and a dark blue/black kitchen, so our design repeated this palette throughout to fully enhance the viewing experience.   

The result: an award-winning success

• Our client secured offers on both properties within two months of the launch in a competitive market.

• The project helped to secure us the Show Home Designer of the Year Award at the HouseWow Services Awards the following year.
