Rental show home design for a 2-bedroom new build apartment in Hullbridge, near Hockley, Essex
A regular developer client asked us to design and install a show flat in his latest development of high-end apartments in the village of Hullbridge, Essex.
Aptly named The View, the apartments looked over a golf course, open countryside and the River Crouch. The development was targeted at a downsizer market. The apartments had been well designed with this demographic in mind, with the emphasis on maximising light and space, and used sophisticated finishes throughout.
Our approach to designing this show home
The show home was designed using the existing finishes as the starting point. Neutral colours were dominant, with earthy, natural colours introduced as accents. This palette has broad appeal and enhanced, rather than distracted from, the property’s key features.
We wanted the interior to feel calming, welcoming and luxurious, as we appreciate that downsizing can involve a considerable emotional adjustment. The aim was to create spaces which immediately resonated with buyers and in which they could envisage their next chapter.
The result: all homes in the development sold within 3 months of launch.
