Quirky home in vibrant Dalston, East London, with a Nordic vibe

Unusually for a home staging project, our architect client was very specific in his brief.  The brief was to bring a Nordic vibe to Dalston, East London.

This project was to fully stage a unique two bedroom modern property, nestled amongst Victorian villas in a sought-after East London location.  On the market, empty, for two months with little interest, the agent persuaded the vendor that staging would make a difference to the perception of potential buyers.

Dalston is one of East London’s most desirable and fast-evolving neighbourhoods attracting creatives, professionals and property investors alike.  Our staging design needed to appeal to these markets.

Our approach

  • Our design for this staging project emphasized minimalism, functionality, and cozy comfort.

  • Existing finishes in the property included many natural elements including ply, reclaimed brick and polished concrete and we added furniture and accessories to enhance these features.

  • The ply-clad bedrooms were a challenge, but we found innovative ways to hang art to add interest to the rooms, and every piece of furniture and accessory was carefully selected to introduce organic shapes and remain true to the brief.

The result: an offer £15k above asking in just 14 days

  • This property had attracted very little interest when on the market empty for two months.  After staging the agent was confident to remarket at £950k, £50k above the original asking price.  An offer was accepted at £15k above the new asking price, just 14 days after staging and remarketing.
